2018 Parolees Recap: Who was paroled in zip code 60406?

There were 94 offenders released on parole during 2018 that live near Illinois zip code 60406, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by South Cook News.

The data shows that 89 men and five women were released in the Blue Island zip code. Of the parolees, one is a veteran, and the median age was 36. The youngest parolee was a 19-year-old man convicted of a crime involving one or more weapons in 2017, and the oldest was a 63-year-old man convicted of a crime involving drugs in 2017.

The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was John Ford. He was convicted of homicide in 1999, when he was 18 years old. He is now 38.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.
