The data shows that the 42 released offenders living in the Park Forest zip code were men. The median age of the parolees was 35. The youngest parolee was a 21-year-old man convicted of a crime involving one or more weapons in 2018, and the oldest was a 54-year-old man convicted of a crime involving drugs in 2015.
The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was Tony Johnson. He was convicted of homicide in 1999, when he was 16 years old. He is now 36.
Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.
