The village of Forest Park will hold a property tax appeal seminar at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 24, at the Howard Mohr Community Center.
The seminar will be hosted by Mayor Rory Hoskins and Assessor Steven Swaski of the Proviso Township Assessors Office, according to the village website.
Those interested in filing an appeal with the Board of Review should bring their tax bill, assessment notice or property identification number. Reservations for this seminar are not necessary.
The seminar will help those who may have been overassessed on their property tax estimate fill out forms, learn where they can gather evidence for their review and submit their complaint to the Board of Review.
