VILLAGE OF CHICAGO RIDGE: Now Hiring Senior Code Enforcement Officer

Village of Chicago Ridge issued the following announcement on July 17.

The Village of Chicago Ridge seeks to fill the position of Senior Code Enforcement Officer (SCEO). The SCEO is a supervisory level role within the Code Enforcement Division responsible for performing and overseeing the work of staff engaged in investigating conditions, initiating procedures and providing educational programs to abate violations involving building codes, housing codes, public nuisances, property maintenance, abandoned vehicles, license regulations and other issues relating to health, safety and welfare of the community for public and private residential, commercial and industrial property. Candidates must demonstrate good judgement, communication skills, firmness, tact, and persistence. Candidates must be able to understand written code and policy and apply such to code enforcement cases presented in the community. High School Graduate or equivalent, and at least five (5) years of municipal code enforcement experience. Possession of a Bachelor’s degree from an Accredited University in planning, construction technology or a related field may be substituted for two (2) years of the experience requirement.
