City of Quincy City Council met Aug. 12.

Here is the agenda provided by the council:

PETITIONS

Ward 7 By On The Rail, 129 S. 4th, requesting to have live music in the outdoor enclosed eating area on August 17th from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Live Entertainment/Public Gathering license application was approved by the Quincy Police Department.

Ward 3 By Wright’s Auto & Tractor Parts requesting consideration for a one-lot subdivision of property located at 2124 North 24th, to be known as Wright’s Subdivision, under the “small tracts” provision of the subdivision ordinance presently zoned M1.

Ward 3 By the 2nd Annual Brett Miller Memorial requesting permission to have a 5k race on October 5th in the Wavering/Moorman park including one lane of 39th St. (possibly both directions), and one lane into Abbey Ridge subdivision.

Resolution Of Support For The Modernization Of Illinois Route 57.

Resolution Authorizing Execution And Amendment Of Federal 5311 Grant Agreement. (Financial assistance grant to off-set a portion of the Public Transportation Program operating deficits of Quincy Transit Lines.)

Utilities and Engineering Director and Utilities Committee recommending approval of the invoice from PDC Laboratories Inc., of Peoria, IL in the amount of $3,416.50 for routine analytical testing for the Industrial Pretreatment Program at the Waste Water Treatment Plant.

Utilities and Engineering Director and Utilities Committee recommending approval of the purchase of two (2) Ford F-350 pick-up trucks and one (1) Ford F-150 pick-up truck from Gem City Ford in the amount totaling $98,213 to replace aging trucks.

Chief of Police recommending approval to purchase training, in the amount of $3,300 from Northwestern University Center for Public Safety of Evanston, IL for officer certified traffic reconstructionist training.

Chief of Police recommending approval to purchase lodging, in the amount of $2,820.00 from the Homestead Inn of Evanston, IL for officer certified traffic training.
