West Hometown home prices rise in the second quarter of 2019

The median sale price of a home sold in the second quarter of 2019 in West Hometown, a Chicago neighborhood, rose by $6,250 while total sales decreased by 36.8%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From April through June of 2019, there were 12 homes sold, with a median sale price of $132,250 - a 5% increase over the $126,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 19 homes sold in West Hometown in the second quarter of 2018.

The median sales tax in West Hometown for the most recent year with available data, 2018, was $3,004, approximately 2.3% of the median home sale price for the second quarter of 2019.
