Hometown home prices rise in the first half of 2019

The median sale price of a home sold in the first half of 2019 in Hometown rose by $9,500 while total sales decreased by 14.9%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through June of 2019, there were 40 homes sold, with a median sale price of $124,500 - a 8.3% increase over the $115,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 47 homes sold in Hometown in the first half of 2018.

The median sales tax in Hometown for the most recent year with available data, 2018, was $3,003, approximately 2.4% of the median home sale price for the first half of 2019.
