East Chicago Heights home prices fall in the first half of 2019

The median sale price of a home sold in the first half of 2019 in East Chicago Heights, a Chicago neighborhood, fell by $8,000 while total sales decreased by 35.7%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through June of 2019, there were nine homes sold, with a median sale price of $21,500 - a 27.1% decrease over the $29,500 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 14 homes sold in East Chicago Heights in the first half of 2018.

The median sales tax in East Chicago Heights for the most recent year with available data, 2018, was $1,836, approximately 8.5% of the median home sale price for the first half of 2019.
