City of Palos Heights Municipal Grounds and Property Committee met July 23.

Here is the minutes provided by the committee:

CALL TO ORDER

Chairman Basso called the Municipal Grounds and Property Committee meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. at the Palos Heights City Hall, 7607 W. College Drive. In attendance were Chairman Basso, Alderman Bylut, Alderman Kramarski, Dan Nisavic, and Adam Jasinski. Absent was Alderman Lewandowski.

APPROVAL OF MINUTES

Alderman Kramarski noted one change to the June 25, 2019 minutes. The park mentioned in “New Business” is Evers Park located at 125th Street between 69th Avenue and 68th Court. Chairman Basso moved to approve the minutes of the Municipal Grounds and Property Committee meeting held on June 25, 2019 – with changes, seconded by Alderman Bylut. On a voice vote, the motion passed unanimously.

PUBLIC COMMENT

Mr. Travillian commented on the Roads program being very well done.

DIRECTOR’S REPORT

Public Works Director Adam Jasinski presented the following reports:

 Light Poles and Landscaping at City Hall: installation is underway and will continue. Everything looks good.

 Motor Vehicle Maintenance Update: vehicles and equipment maintenance are at very good levels.

 Tree Removal on Oak Park Median and Other City Grounds: a discussion ensued regarding tree removal, care, and replacement. Director Jasinski presented a proposal from Homer Tree Care to complete the tree pruning and removal project at a cost of $13,500.00.

A motion was made by Alderman Basso to approve the tree pruning/removal proposal from Homer Tree Care in the amount of $13,500.00, seconded by Alderman Bylut. On a voice vote, the motion passed unanimously. Agenda

NEW BUSINESS – none.

ADJOURNMENT

There being no further business, Alderman Basso moved to adjourn, seconded by Alderman Bylut. All in favor.
