Issued the following announcement on Sept. 23.

Congressman Dan Lipinski (IL-3) released the following statement today:

“I’m very concerned by President Trump’s acknowledgement that he raised corruption accusations against Joe Biden during a phone call this summer with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. It would be a serious breach of conduct if the President of the United States attempted to exert pressure on a foreign government for political gain. Members of Congress have a duty to oversee whistleblower complaints, so I urge the Adminstration to not stand in the way of the thorough investigation this allegation requires. It’s vital for our national security that all elected officials honor the rule of law and act in accordance with it.”
