Little Company Of Mary Hospital issued the following announcement on Oct. 30.
October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month. It is important to be aware of how domestic violence affects our community and what we can do to combat this ugly global blight.
Domestic violence involves more than physical abuse and robs the lives of its victims from a basic sense of safety. According to the National Network to End Domestic Violence, domestic violence is a pervasive, life-threatening crime that affects millions of individuals in this country from all age, economic, racial, religious and educational backgrounds.
On October 2nd, Little Company of Mary Hospital and the Domestic Violence Outreach Ministry of the Archdiocese of Chicago held a candle light Living Rosary service in the hospital’s Chapel. Thank you to all who participated in this event.
