City of Burbank City Council met Sept. 25.

Here is the minutes provided by the council:

CALL TO ORDER

The meeting of September 25,2019 was called to order atl'30 PM by Mayor Dan M. Foy in the Council Chambers at 6530 West 79th Street Burbank. Il.

ROLL CALL

Mayor Foy requested a roll call which indicated the following members present: Alderwoman Barb Gagle, Alderman Robert Contreras. Alderwoman Sheri Gustafson, Alderman John Pacella. Alderman Mitchell Piznarski, Alderman Jason Pyle, Mayor Dan M. Foy, Clerk Barry J. Szymczak, Treasurer Dean Viverito and Cifv Attorney Vince Cainkar. Absent: Alderman James Grider.

PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE

Mayor Foy asked all to rise for the Pledge of Allegiance.

JOURNAL

Alderman Contreras made a motion seconded by Alderman Pacella to approve the minutes of September 1 1,2019. The motion was unanimously approved by voice vote and so declared by the Chair.

CURRENT BILLS

Alderman Contreras made a motion seconded by Alderman Pyle to approve the current list of bills. A roll call indicated 6 Ayes and 0 Nays. Voting Aye: Alderw.oman Gagle Alderman Contreras, Alderwoman Gustafson, Alderman Pacella, Alderman Piznarski and Alderman Pyle.

CLERK'S REPORT

Clerk Szymczak attended a bid opening for 2020 Bulk Rock Salt. The following companies submitted bids:

Morton Salt $262,290.00 ($87.43 per ton / 3000)

Compass Minerals $ NO BID

Detroit Salt $ NO BID

Cargill Salt $293,730.00 ($97.91 per ton / 3000)

Midwest Salt $267,570.00 ($89.19 per ton / 3000)

DEPT. OF ZONING

Alderman Robert Contreras made a motion seconded by Alderwornan Gagle to ask the City Attorney to prepare an ordinance for Petition #19-08-1 Lucio Linarez7739 South Latrobe Burbank, Il. who is requesting a variation to install a 6' privacy fence on front yard side set back. The petition was approved by Zoning. A roll call indicated 6 Ayes and 0 Nays. Voting Aye: Alderwoman Gagle, Alderman Contreras, Alderwoman Gustafson, Alderman Pacella, Alderman Piznarski and Alderman Pyle.

Alderman Contreras then made a motion seconded by Alderman Pyle to have the Citv Attorney prepare an ordinance for Petition # 19-08-2 Anna Schulz Nowak 7800 South Oak Park Ave. Burbank, Il. who is requesting a variation to install a 6' privacy fence on front yard side set back.

DEPT. OF PUBLIC WORKS

Alderman Mitch Piznarski made a motion seconded by Alderman Pacella to award Morton Salt as low bidder for the 2020 Bulk Rock Salt Proglam in the amount of $262,790"00 which is $87.43 per ton delivered for 3000 tons and a pick up amount of $87.00 per ton. A roll call indicated 6 Ayes and 0 Nays. Voting Aye: Alderwoman Gagle, Alderman Contreras. Alderwoman Gustafson,Alderman Pacella" Alderman Piznarski and Alderman Pyle

CITIZEN'S REPORT

The Chair recognized Linda Kozola 8155 South Latrobe who expressed concerns about parked cars near the intersections of 87'h & Latrobe and at Burbank Auto Sales 5249 West 79'b Street. MayorFoy directed Division Chief Wm. Casey to investigate the 87m Street complaint and also informedMs. Kozola that a call was made to Burbank Auto Sales earlier in the day.

FIRE DEPARTMENT

Chief Dave Gilgenberg Il inforrmed the Council that the City and the Burbank Fire Department would be entering an intergovernmental agreement with the Departnent of Health and FamilyServices regarding the Ground Emergency MedicalTransportation Program enabling participating agencies to receive additional funding from the federal government for the difference between the cost to provide Medicaid ambulance services less the Medicaid reimbursement rate. This additional funding will not be provided via billing to Healthcare and Family Services, rather through a lumpsum payment to the participating agencies.

Mayor Foy then asked any Reavis High School students who need their government class formssigned to approach any of the City Officials at the adjournment of the Council meeting

MOTION TO ADJOURN

There being no further business, the Chair asked for a motion to adjourn. The motion was made by Alderman Contreras and seconded by Alderman Pyle with unanimous voice approval and so declared by the Chair.

The meeting was adjourned at 7:37 PM.
