City of Burbank City Council met Nov. 13.

Here is the minutes provided by the Council:

Call to Order

The meeting of November 13, 2019 was called to order at 7:30 p.m. by Mayor Dan M. Foy in the Council Chambers at 6530 West 79th Street Burbank, Il.

Roll Call

Mayor Foy requested a roll call which indicated the following members present: Alderwoman Barb Gagle, Alderman Robert Contreras, Alderman Sheri Gustafson, Alderman John Pacella, Alderman Mitchell Piznarski, Alderman Jason Pyle, Mayor Dan M. Fory, Clerk Barry J. Szymczak, Treasurer Dean Viverito and City Attorney Vince Cainkar, Absent: Alderman James Grider.

Pledge of Allegiance

Mayor Foy asked all to rise for the Pledge of Allegiance.

Journal

Alderman Robert Contreras made a motion seconded by Alderwoman Barb Gagle to approve the minutes of October 23, 2019. The motion was unanimously approved by voice vote and so declared by the Chair.

Current Bills

Alderman Contreras made a motion seconded by Alderman Pacella to approve the current list of bills. A roll call indicated 6 Ayes and 0 Nays. Voting Aye: Alderwoman Gagle Alderman Contreras, Alderwoman Gustafson, Alderman Pacella, Alderman Piznarski and Alderman Pyle.

Treasurer’s Report

Treasurer Dean Viverio reported that the 2018 Financial Audit has been completed, filed and copies have been distributed to all Council members.

Dept. of Administration

Mayor Foy asked a motion to accept the 2020 Committee / Council Meeting Schedule which includes summer and December dates. The motion was made by Alderwoman Gagle and seconded by Alderwoman Gustafson. A roll call indicated 6 Ayes ) Nays. Voting Aye: Alderwoman Gagle, Alderwoman Contreras, Alderwoman Gustafson, Alderman Pacella, Alderman Piznarski and Alderman Pyle.

Mayor For then asked for a motion to adopt Resolution #11-9-19 approving a memorandum agreement of understanding between the Cook County Land Bank Authority and the City of Burbank with respect to the property located 5706 West 79th Street. The motion was made by Alderwoman Gustafson and seconded by Alderman Piznarski. A roll call indicated 6 Ayes and 0 Nays. Voting Aye: Aderwoman Gagle, Alderman Contreras, Alderwoman Gustafson, Alderman Pacella, Alderman Piznarski and Alderman Pyle.

Old Business

Randy Cohn, representing McDonald’s on 79th Street, was in attendance and brought in coffee and cookies for all in attendance. Mr. Cohn also gave an update on the progress of the renovations which are taking place. There will be a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Friday November 22, 2019 which city dignitaries will take part. He also gave a summary of upcoming events and fund raisers which will take place through the 1st of the year.

Mayor Foy then asked any Reavis High School students who need their government class forms signed to approach any of the City Officials at the adjournment of the Council meeting.

Motion to Adjourn

There being no further business, the Chair asked for a motion to adjourn. The motion was made by Alderman Contreras and seconded by Alderman Piznarski with unanimous voice approval and so declared by the Chair.

The meeting was adjourned at 7:45 p.m.
