• A resident wrote an email extending his appreciation to C.S.O. Office Roger Wilson for helping him with a mechanical breakdown which occurred at Ridgleand and Rt. 83, on Thanksgiving morning. He further stated that CSO went above and beyond what would have been expected of him. He found C.S.O. Wilson very courteous and professional.

• A resident sent an email thanking Officer Joe Carlson and Crisis Intervention Team for their work in the Palos Heights area. They have referred many families to (Families Anonymous) which is a support group for people who have loved ones struggling with addiction and related mental illness. Their perspective of Palos Heights Police Department is nothing but respect and they see how they care and want to help not just residents but people from surrounding communities.

• The Palos Heights Police Department has received emails thanking them for their House watch surveillance. They also received a lot of Christmas Cards from the residents here in Palos Heights.

• Office Joel Evans and Office Renee Jones received sincere appreciation from a person that did a ride –along. He spent 5 hours with them and was impressed with their professionalism, courteousness, and competency that they possess when dealing with the public and residents of Palos Heights.

• Sergeant Brent Dreger and Sergeant Gerald Wodka were commended on their video shooter training they gave at Palos Hospital.
