6. ADMINISTRATION

A. Approval of Ordinance No. 2020-03-0786O declaring a State of Emergency in the city of Oak Forest due to the spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19). The attached memo from City Administrator Julian, dated March 23, 2020, provides supporting details.

B. Approval of Resolution No. 2020-3-0366R expressing concern about deceitful robocalls and supporting efforts of the Federal and State Governments to eliminate them. The attached memo from Mayor Kuspa, dated March 24, 2020, provides supporting details.

7. PUBLIC WORKS

A. Approval of a HVAC contract award relating to Police Station Building Improvements to Johnson Controls of Calumet City, Illinois in the budgeted amount of $69,450.00, while rejecting bids opened on March 12, 2020. The attached memo from Public Works Director Rinchich, dated March 23, 2020, provides supporting details.

8. COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT

A. Approval of Resolution No. 2020-03-0367R, the first amendment to the Commercial Sale Contract and Contract Addendum between Northmark Construction, LLC, the City of Oak Forest, Illinois, and the South Suburban Land Bank & Development Authority. The attached memo from Economic & Community Development Bandstra, dated March 24, 2020, provides supporting details.

9. CITIZENS PARTICIPATION: The Oak Forest City Council invites public comment at its meetings, but it generally does not have the ability to provide an immediate response to some questions raised during the Citizens Participation portion of a council meeting without some reasonable opportunity to review them. Therefore, the City Council encourages questions to also be submitted in writing in the event that they need to be referred to City staff to help assure a more thoughtful and informed response. SINCE THIS MEETING IS BEING TELECONFERENCED, WITHOUT CITIZENS BEING PRESENT BECAUSE OF PRECAUTIONS DUE TO THE CORONAVIRUS OUTBREAK, CITIZENS SHOULD E-MAIL COMMENTS TO CITY CLERK JACK JANOZIK AT JJANOZIK@OAK-FOREST.ORG.
