Village of Park Forest issued the following announcement on March 26.

Have you had a chance to check out the Park Forest Businesses Facebook page? There’s lots of great information for businesses and residents.

While we don’t know what the economic impact will have in the next several months due to COVID-19, we do know that there are ways to help local businesses and community now.

For many businesses and those in the community, the questions arise regarding how to pay for rent, employee salaries, lost revenue, unemployment eligibility, and can I keep my job or business.

With the current COVID-19 pandemic, many are facing information overload; what is official information, where to look and what resources are available. To help find all the information needed, the Village of Park Forest has compiled all of the OFFICIAL information and websites in ONE PLACE.

The Park Forest Businesses Facebook page has a Notes section with the latest COVID-19 updates to keep you informed: Governor Pritzker’s website, Illinois State Treasurer’s Office, Illinois Unemployment Benefits, IRS Tax Relief, How to Apply for a SBA Disaster Loan, and more! One place to find it all!

Things You Can Do To Support Local Business:

Post positive comments on business Facebook pages.

Order from local restaurants, bars, and caterers. Many are offering curb side pickup and/or free delivery.

Buy an extra order and share!

Buy for a group of volunteers or a senior and deliver.

Don’t forget to use the Park Forest Shopping & Services Guide as your Shop Local resource.
