The Orland Park Bakery temporarily closed last month after an employee tested positive for the coronavirus.
According to the business' website, the bakery discovered the employee tested positive on April 12. It originally hoped to resume normal operations on May 1, but that was delayed when owners determined they could not safely reopen.
The website also states that all pre-orders from April 12 through May 13 were canceled and the purchases were refunded, the bakery stated.
Orland Park Bakery, at 14850 S. La Grange Road, is a key part of the community. It was recognized by the Orland Park Village Board for producing 65,000 paczkis ahead of last year's Fat Tuesday celebration.
