July-Dec. 2019 Recap: Parolees in Harvey convicted of crimes against justice

There were five offenders convicted of crimes against justice released on parole in Harvey during the second half of 2019, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by the South Cook News.

The data shows that five men were among the parolees. The median age of the parolees sentenced for crimes against justice was 38. The youngest parolee was a 27-year-old man sentenced in 2019, and the oldest was a 53-year-old man sentenced in 2019.

The offender who was incarcerated the longest was Marvin Malloy. He was convicted of a crime against justice in 2019 when he was 26 years old. He is now 27.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.

The table below shows the 50 cities in Illinois with the most paroled offenders during the second half of 2019 who were convicted of crimes against justice.
