Q1 2019 Recap: Parolees near Illinois zip code 60453 convicted of crimes against persons

There were three offenders convicted of crimes against persons released on parole near Illinois zip code 60453 during the first quarter, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by the South Cook News.

The data shows that three men were among the parolees. The median age of the parolees sentenced for crimes against persons was 41. The youngest parolee was a 31-year-old man sentenced in 2018, and the oldest was a 54-year-old man sentenced in 2018.

The offender who was incarcerated the longest was Michael Abrams. He was convicted of a crime against a person in 2018 when he was 52 years old. He is now 54.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.
