There were three offenders convicted of homicide released on parole near Illinois zip code 60803 during 2019, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by the South Cook News.

The data shows that three men were among the parolees. The median age of the parolees sentenced for homicide was 44. The youngest parolee was a 34-year-old man sentenced in 2008, and the oldest was a 55-year-old man sentenced in 1997.

The offender who was incarcerated the longest was Thomas O'Farrell. He was convicted of homicide in 1997 when he was 33 years old. He is now 55.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.
