Village of Alsip Village Committee met April 27.

Here is the agenda provided by the committee:

A. Mayor Ryan

1) Request to approve an amendment to the Village Committee Meetings scheduled for summer of 2020 and eliminate the first Committee Meeting each month starting in May through August. Committee issues may still be discussed at Village Board meetings and this amendment will offer the Trustees an opportunity to consolidate presentations as necessary. 

2) Request to approve a Class 6b Tax assessment for LA Truck Repair, LLC located at 11659-11701 S. Mayfield, Alsip, IL PIN #24-20-400-011 & 24-20-403-00.

B. Clerk Petzel

1) Presentation and approval of the October 14, 2019 Committee Meeting Minutes.

A. Finance and Information Technology, Trustee McLawhorn

1) List of payroll and accounts payable.

B. Fire, Trustee Murphy

1) Discussion for the signing of a new IGA with the Illinois Department of Health and Family Services. This is for the Ground Emergency Medical Transport.

C. Police and Traffic Safety, Trustee Dalzell

D. Public Works and Boat Launch, Trustee Juarez

1) Request approval to hire four (4) Public Works temporary full-time summer labors at $11.00 per hour each for up to ten weeks (10) each at a cost not to exceed $17,600.00. 

2) Request approval to hire one (1) temporary part-time Boat Launch attendant at $11.00 per hour from May 21st thru September 29th working 20 hours per week at a cost not to exceed $4,180.00.

E. Sewer and Water, Trustee Nava-Esparza

F. Building and Health, Trustee Zielinski

1) Discussion to hire three (3) full-time temporary summer personnel Building Department employees to work forty (40) hours a week for a maximum of fourteen weeks (14) at $11.00 per hour (if fiscally feasible due to possible reduced revenue as a result of COVID-19).

1) Discussion to hire two (2) full-time temporary summer personnel Village Hall employees to work forty (40) hours a week for a maximum of fourteen weeks (14) at $11.00 per hour (if fiscally feasible due to possible reduced revenue as a result of COVID-19). 

2) Discussion to hire two (2) full-time temporary summer personnel Heritage I employees to work forty (40) hours a week for a maximum of fourteen weeks (14) at $11.00 per hour (if fiscally feasible due to possible reduced revenue as a result of COVID-19). 

3) Discussion to hire two (2) full-time temporary summer personnel Heritage II employees to work forty (40) hours a week for a maximum of fourteen weeks (14) at $11.00 per hour (if fiscally feasible due to possible reduced revenue as a result of COVID-19).

D. Planning & Zoning and Licenses, Trustee Juarez

1) Presentation of a list of licenses dated April 13, 2020 through April 24, 2020. 2) Request for approval of Case #2020-03-S-100 for Special Use to conduct truck repair and the parking and storage of trucks at the address of 11659 to 11701 S. Mayfield Avenue The Planning and Zoning Commission held a Public Hearing on Wednesday, April 15, 2020 and passed this request with a vote of 6-0 in favor.
