The data shows that 39 men and two women were released in Oak Lawn zip code. Of the parolees, two were veterans, and the median age was 38. The youngest parolee was a 21-year-old man convicted of a crime involving one or more weapons in 2018, and the oldest was a 62-year-old man convicted of a property crime in 2015.
The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was Mark MacGregor. He was convicted of a crime involving alcohol in 2012, when he was 25 years old. He is now 33.
Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.
