Village of Evergreen Park issued the following announcement on May 8.
The Golf Driving Range at 50-Acre Park is open daily from 10am-7pm. It is not staffed, but you can use the automated machine with a credit card to rent the golf balls: $10 for a full bucket, $5 for a half-bucket.
Happy Dog Park is open to members. (It was closed for a little while in late April due to server issues). Please remember that it is open to MEMBERS only, and please let us know if a member is allowing non-members to enter. Also, please call 9-1-1 if you witness any aggressive behavior by dogs. Renewals for dog park membership are coming due on June 1.
On a side note, animal licenses are coming due on June 1. However, we are aware that some licenses will require proof of update rabies vaccinations, which might not be possible due to veterinarians being closed due to COVID-19. Therefore, if your dog license renewal is late because of inability to get your pet vaccinated, please know you will NOT be subject to a late fee. We understand what is going on.
Disc golf is open, and you are more than welcome to use the walking trail and pergola.
As of now, the Barn is still closed to the public.
With everything at 50-Acre Park, we ask that you observe social distancing, and where a mask when such is not possible. Also, all amenities at 50-Acre Park are on a "use at your own risk" basis.
All other activities of the Recreation Department, Office of Citizen Services and Youth Department are on hold for the time being.
