Village of South Chicago Heights Board of Trustees met March 9.

Here is the minutes provided by the board:

A Special meeting was held on Monday, March 9, 2020, at the Village Hall, 3317 Chicago Road, South Chicago Heights, Illinois. Mayor Terry Matthews called the meeting to order at 4:00 p.m, and the Pledge of Allegiance followed.

PUBLIC COMMENT: None.

NEW BUSINESS:

RESOLUTION 2020-R-5: A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE VILLAGE OF SOUTH CHICAGO HEIGHTS TO MAKE APPLICATION FOR THE 2020 COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT FUNDS AND AUTHORIZING THE VILLAGE PRESIDENT AND VILLAGE CLERK TO EXECUTE CERTAIN DOCUMENTS FOR AND ON BEHALF OF THE VILLAGE: Mayor Matthews presented the resolution. Trustee Ross asked about using MFT Funds for street projects within the Village. Mayor Matthews stated that Administrator Gomez would investigate the amount of MFT funds available. Trustee Stanton motioned to approve the resolution, seconded by Trustee Ross. There being no further discussion, the roll call vote being: Ayes: Eugene Fazzini, Eric Stanton, Sally Marrufo, & John Ross. Nays: None. Abstain: None. Absent: Trustee Fiorenzo, Trustee Bosco. Motion carried 4 to 0.

ADJOURNMENT: With nothing further to discuss, Trustee Stanton motioned to adjourn the Special meeting, seconded by Trustee Ross. On a voice vote, all ayes, no nays; the motion so ordered. Meeting adjourned at 4:09 p.m.
