Regular meeting was held at the Village Hall, 3317 Chicago Road, South Chicago Heights, Illinois. Mayor Terry Matthews called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. and the Pledge of Allegiance followed.
APPROVAL OF MEETING MINUTES: Trustee Marrufo motioned to approve the Regular Board of Trustee meeting minutes of March 2, 2020, seconded by Trustee Bosco. There being no further discussion, the roll call vote being: Ayes: Eugene Fazzini, Terry Fiorenzo, Eric Stanton, Sally Marrufo, Tracy Bosco, & John Ross. Nays: None. Abstain: None. Absent: None. Motion carried 6 to 0.
APPROVAL OF COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE MEETING MINUTES: Trustee Marrufo motioned to approve the Committee of the Whole meeting minutes of March 2, 2020, seconded by Trustee Bosco. There being no further discussion, the roll call vote being: Ayes: Eugene Fazzini, Terry Fiorenzo, Eric Stanton, Sally Marrufo, Tracy Bosco, & John Ross. Nays: None. Abstain: None. Absent: None. AUDIENCE PARTICIPATION: Mr. Keith Harris owner of 137-139 W 27th Street stated that he attended the Crime Free seminar and wanted to inform the Village Board of his concerns with the annual increase of 300% in fees for his 24-unit building. Mr. Harris stated that his property was for low-income residents and that the 300% increase was too large. Mr. Vic Sweetwood of 300 blk of Cappelletti addressed the Board regarding Flood Brothers leaving garbage cans in front of driveways instead of returning them to the parkway. Mayor Matthews asked Administrator Gomez to contact Flood Brothers.

TRUSTEE/COMMITTEE REPORTS:
Village Administrator Gomez stated that 2020 Community Development Block Grant application has been submitted. Fire Chief Vlietstra summarized an update to the Covid-19. Chief Vlietstra updated the board on the number of cases detected, new dispatch protocols, and tracking additional expenses during this outbreak.
Police Chief Joyce stated that he has discussed with MABAS and ILETSB policy and procedures on police personnel assisting with calls for ambulance services. Chief Joyce updated the Board on procedures handling a prisoner with Covid-19 symptoms.
Public Works Director Martin stated that his department suspended work orders for water meter issues, water shut offs, and other water related issues. Director Martin stated that his department was cleaning all equipment.

BUSINESS LICENSES - Contract Carriers Inc. at 3220 East End Avenue. Mayor Matthews stated that this company has contract for purchase of 3220 East End Avenue and asked the Board if they had any questions. Mayor Matthews stated that once they complete building and fire inspections a license could be issued. Josh Wilkens located at 3280 East End Avenue explained his business. Director Goncher stated that the building has received an occupancy permit. Mayor Matthews wished them luck and stated a license could be issued.
MAYOR: Mayor Matthews read a note from Janet Sterks complimenting the public works department for filling holes in alley with stone within 24 hours after filing a complaint. He stated that it is nice to hear good things. Mayor Matthews stated that because of Covid-19 outbreak the Community Nutrition Network has cancelled serving lunch but was still providing curb side lunches and he stated that all Senior Center rentals have been cancelled as well. Mayor Matthews stated that inspections and DPW work orders have been suspended.
