Millennium Lightening Strike. Dr. Olson informed the Board that a pole at Millennium Elementary was struck by lightening during a recent storm. There was some damage to the computers that control the heating and air conditioning at that building. Bob Prost is working with tech and maintenance and is in the process of getting the damage repaired.
Donations. We recently collected a supply of personal protective equipment including gloves and masks. We donated this equipment to our first responders. We did keep a supply on hand for our staff for whenever they return to school to keep everyone safe.
Sirens on Grissom. Dr. Olson said that the village of Tinley Park is moving the tornado sirens off of the roof at Grissom and moving them to the Park District Recreation Center.
Graduation Signs. Dr. Olson stated that even if we are back in school for the month of May, we still cannot have a public graduation. One suggestion to recognize our 8th grade students was to order graduation signs and distribute them to display at each of their houses.
Registration for the 2020-21 School Year. Due to the school closure, we have decided to suspend payments for the remainder of this school year for anyone who was on a payment plan.
