Analysis: Willow Springs pays $23.16 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Willow Springs Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 95.8 percent of the $1,515,253 the Willow Springs Police Pension Fund brought in 2018, or $23.16 for every $1 from pension members, according to a South Cook News analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Willow Springs contributed $1,451,100 to the fund, which saw a $1,048,174 increase in revenue over 2017. Members contributed $62,632, or 4.1 percent, in 2018. Another $1,521 came from other unspecified sources.
