Analysis: South Holland pays $3.40 for every $1 pensioners contribute to South Holland Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 77 percent of the $1,803,262 the South Holland Police Pension Fund brought in 2018, or $3.40 for every $1 from pension members, according to a South Cook News analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, South Holland contributed $1,389,014 to the fund, which saw a $287,230 increase in revenue over 2017. Members contributed $408,216, or 22.6 percent, in 2018. Another $6,032 came from other unspecified sources.
