Analysis: South Chicago Heights pays $3.16 for every $1 pensioners contribute to South Chicago Heights Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 76 percent of the $206,411 the South Chicago Heights Police Pension Fund brought in 2018, or $3.16 for every $1 from pension members, according to a South Cook News analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, South Chicago Heights contributed $156,837 to the fund, which saw a $15,647 increase in revenue over 2017. Members contributed $49,574, or 24 percent, in 2018.
