Analysis: Park Forest pays $4.94 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Park Forest Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 83.2 percent of the $2,157,095 the Park Forest Police Pension Fund brought in 2018, or $4.94 for every $1 from pension members, according to a South Cook News analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Park Forest contributed $1,794,231 to the fund, which saw a $193,125 decrease in revenue over 2017. Members contributed $362,864, or 16.8 percent, in 2018.
