Analysis: Palos Hills pays $3.80 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Palos Hills Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 79.2 percent of the $1,419,312 the Palos Hills Police Pension Fund brought in 2018, or $3.80 for every $1 from pension members, according to a South Cook News analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Palos Hills contributed $1,124,093 to the fund, which saw a $28,547 increase in revenue over 2017. Members contributed $295,218, or 20.8 percent, in 2018. Another $1 came from other unspecified sources.
