Analysis: Palos Heights pays $6.67 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Palos Heights Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 87.1 percent of the $2,056,000 the Palos Heights Police Pension Fund brought in 2018, or $6.67 for every $1 from pension members, according to a South Cook News analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Palos Heights contributed $1,791,557 to the fund, which saw a $190,558 increase in revenue over 2017. Members contributed $268,587, or 13.1 percent, in 2018.
