Analysis: Palos Heights pays $2.10 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Palos Heights FPD Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 67.6 percent of the $610,866 the Palos Heights FPD Pension Fund brought in 2018, or $2.10 for every $1 from pension members, according to a South Cook News analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Palos Heights contributed $412,878 to the fund, which saw a $71,375 decrease in revenue over 2017. Members contributed $196,540, or 32.2 percent, in 2018. Another $1,448 came from other unspecified sources.
