Analysis: Palos Park pays $3.36 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Palos FPD Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 77.2 percent of the $1,239,859 the Palos FPD Pension Fund brought in 2018, or $3.36 for every $1 from pension members, according to a South Cook News analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Palos Park contributed $957,509 to the fund, which saw a $62,599 increase in revenue over 2017. Members contributed $284,815, or 23 percent, in 2018.
