Analysis: Olympia Fields pays $5.43 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Olympia Fields Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 84.4 percent of the $1,113,218 the Olympia Fields Police Pension Fund brought in 2018, or $5.43 for every $1 from pension members, according to a South Cook News analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Olympia Fields contributed $939,826 to the fund, which saw a $57,573 increase in revenue over 2017. Members contributed $172,912, or 15.5 percent, in 2018. Another $480 came from other unspecified sources.
