Analysis: Oak Forest pays $4.96 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Oak Forest Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 82.9 percent of the $2,214,512 the Oak Forest Police Pension Fund brought in 2018, or $4.96 for every $1 from pension members, according to a South Cook News analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Oak Forest contributed $1,836,854 to the fund, which saw a $6,071 decrease in revenue over 2017. Members contributed $369,929, or 16.7 percent, in 2018. Another $7,729 came from other unspecified sources.
