Analysis: Lynwood pays $1.40 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Lynwood Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 58.4 percent of the $371,889 the Lynwood Police Pension Fund brought in 2018, or $1.40 for every $1 from pension members, according to a South Cook News analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Lynwood contributed $217,180 to the fund, which saw a $3,574 increase in revenue over 2017. Members contributed $154,710, or 41.6 percent, in 2018.
