Analysis: Glenwood pays $4.71 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Glenwood Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 81.7 percent of the $1,071,065 the Glenwood Police Pension Fund brought in 2018, or $4.71 for every $1 from pension members, according to a South Cook News analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Glenwood contributed $874,658 to the fund, which saw a $19,105 decrease in revenue over 2017. Members contributed $185,589, or 17.3 percent, in 2018. Another $10,818 came from other unspecified sources.
