Analysis: Flossmoor pays $4.59 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Flossmoor Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 81.9 percent of the $1,061,822 the Flossmoor Police Pension Fund brought in 2018, or $4.59 for every $1 from pension members, according to a South Cook News analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Flossmoor contributed $869,172 to the fund, which saw a $185,624 increase in revenue over 2017. Members contributed $189,051, or 17.8 percent, in 2018. Another $3,599 came from other unspecified sources.
