Analysis: Dolton pays $2.33 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Dolton Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 69.5 percent of the $1,037,946 the Dolton Police Pension Fund brought in 2018, or $2.33 for every $1 from pension members, according to a South Cook News analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Dolton contributed $721,564 to the fund, which saw a $53,557 decrease in revenue over 2017. Members contributed $309,041, or 29.8 percent, in 2018. Another $7,341 came from other unspecified sources.
