Analysis: Chicago Ridge pays $6.54 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Chicago Ridge Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 86.6 percent of the $2,190,696 the Chicago Ridge Police Pension Fund brought in 2018, or $6.54 for every $1 from pension members, according to a South Cook News analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Chicago Ridge contributed $1,896,777 to the fund, which saw a $101,876 increase in revenue over 2017. Members contributed $289,709, or 13.2 percent, in 2018. Another $4,210 came from other unspecified sources.
