Analysis: Chicago Ridge pays $4.58 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Chicago Ridge Firefighters Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 82.1 percent of the $1,006,248 the Chicago Ridge Firefighters Pension Fund brought in 2018, or $4.58 for every $1 from pension members, according to a South Cook News analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Chicago Ridge contributed $825,959 to the fund, which saw a $112,731 increase in revenue over 2017. Members contributed $180,315, or 17.9 percent, in 2018.
