Analysis: Burnham pays $5.04 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Burnham Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 83.4 percent of the $323,447 the Burnham Police Pension Fund brought in 2018, or $5.04 for every $1 from pension members, according to a South Cook News analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Burnham contributed $269,763 to the fund, which saw a $14,334 increase in revenue over 2017. Members contributed $53,510, or 16.5 percent, in 2018. Another $174 came from other unspecified sources.
