Analysis: Burbank pays $3.93 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Burbank Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 78.9 percent of the $2,144,679 the Burbank Police Pension Fund brought in 2018, or $3.93 for every $1 from pension members, according to a South Cook News analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Burbank contributed $1,691,565 to the fund, which saw a $90,563 increase in revenue over 2017. Members contributed $429,415, or 20 percent, in 2018. Another $23,699 came from other unspecified sources.
