VI. New Business – Action Items

A) Recommend approval of insurance renewals with the following carriers for the 2020-2021 school year:

1. Medical insurance—Blue Cross/Blue Shield, 2. Dental insurance Delta Dental, 3. Vision-Avesis

A) Recommend approval of payment to the IRS in the amount of $1,670.90 to satisfy the Patient Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI) fee under the Affordable Care Act for self funded medical plans.

B) Recommend approval of the ECRA Group Inc. contract in the amount of $30,950.00 to support the district with evaluating the impact and return on investment of school improvement initiatives, professional development and consulting.

C) Recommend approval of the Edgeunity contract in the amount of $45,000.00 to provide online curriculum and blended learning solutions.

D) Recommend approval of the Academic Approach Integrated Test Preparation Program solutions in the amount of $45,497.00 to provide SAT-aligned integrated preparation services to raise student achievement on the SAT.

E) Recommend approval of the Academic Approach Contract for the PSAT 8/9 Assessment for incoming 8th grade students in the amount of $6,300.00.

F) Recommend approval of the professional development agreement with Identity Talk Consulting in the amount of $2,500.00.

G) Recommend approval of the agreement from Solution Tree to provide equity and cultural competency focused professional development in the amount of $6,500.00.

H) Recommend approval of the 3 year site license renewal for Vocabulary.com in the amount of $30,549.00.

I) Recommend approval of the Latin American: An Interpretive History 10th Edition Social Studies textbook at the total cost of $8,023.93.

J) Recommend approval of the proposed salary increases for the 2019-2020 school year for the following personnel:

1) Technology Staff

2) Support Staff 

3) Security Staff

4) Supervisors 

5) NJROTC (effective August 1, 2020) 

6) Administrators

K) Recommend approval of the appointment of Ernesto Saldivar to fill the position of Director of Language Acquisition for Bloom Township High School District 206 effective July 16, 2020.

L) Recommend approval of the appointment of Ismael Zamora to fill the position of Division Coordinator for Math and Science at Bloom High School effective July 15, 2020.

M) Recommend approval of the appointment of Diane Oliver to fill the position of Division Coordinator for ELA/Social Studies/Reading at Bloom High School effective July 20, 2020.

N) Recommend approval of the Governors State University Affiliation Agreement to provide clinical and educational training experiences for University candidates.

O) Recommend approval of the amended school year calendar for 2020-2021.

P) Recommend approval of GW & Associates to conduct the 2019-2020 Annual Financial Audit.

Q) Recommend approval of the Bloom Township District 206 Transition Plan.

R) Recommend approval of e-Learning Plan which would provide a platform for continued instruction in the case of emergency school closure.

S) Recommend approval of title change from Assistant Principal to Associate Principal for Dr. Timothy Craddock of Bloom Trail High School.

A) Motion to convene to a closed session meeting for the purpose of discussing the following matters:

1) The appointment, employment, compensation, discipline, performance, or dismissal of specific employees of the public body or legal counsel for the public body, including hearing n a complaint lodged against an employee of the public body or against legal counsel for the public body to determine its validity. [5ILCS 120/2(C)(1)

2) Collective negotiating matters between the public body and its employees or their representatives, or deliberations concerning salary schedule for one or more classes of employees [5ILCS 120/2(C)(1)]

3) Discussion of minutes of meetings lawfully closed under this Act, whether for purposes of

dy of the minutes or semi-annual review of the minutes as mandated by Section 2.06. [5ILCS 120(C)(21)]

4) Discussion of litigation, when an action against, affecting or on behalf of the particular public body has been filed and is pending before a court or administrative tribunal, or when the public body finds that an action is probable or imminent, in which case the basis for the finding shall be recorded and entered into the minutes of the closed meeting, held in closed session pursuant to Section 2(0)(11) of the Open Meetings Act [5 ILCS 120/2(c)(11)]

B) Motion to adjourn closed session meeting and reconvene open session meeting.
