Cost of college went up for all students at the Trenz Beauty Academy

Tuition and fees rose 0.6 percent for 2018-19 at the Trenz Beauty Academy, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

Illinois students paid $15,590 to attend the private for-profit school this year – $100 more than the $15,490 charged for 2017-18.

Data shows 36 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 4 students received grants or scholarships totaling $22,021 and 4 students took out student loans totaling more than $24,996.

Including all undergraduates (103), 71 students used grants or scholarships totaling $334,075, and 69 students took out $487,460 in federal student loans.
