VI. New Business—Action Items

a. Recommend the rescheduling of the Board of Education Meeting from Monday, September 21st to Monday, September 28th, 2020.

b. Recommend approval of the Tentative Budget for the 2020-2021 School Year.

c. Recommend that a Public Hearing be set for the purpose of reviewing the 2020-2021 Budget on Monday, September 28th, 2020.

d. Recommend approval of the Teachers’ Contract for 2020-2022.

e. Recommend approval of the Athletic Trainer Support Agreement with TradeMark Performance in the amount of $30.00/hour with Athletic Director Reda scheduling their weekly schedules.

f. Recommend approval of the Renaissance Star Math and Reading Assessment contract for $62,871.48.

g. Recommend approval of the College Readiness and Success Contract for $2,233.80.

h. Recommend approval of the Solution Tree professional development agreement for teaching staff on equity and cultural competency in the amount of $3,000.00.

i. Recommend approval of the FlexPrint Print Management Agreement in the amount of $14,651.52.

j. Recommend approval of lane change for Elizabeth Lloyd Chambers from MA+30 to MA+45 on the Faculty Association Salary Schedule retroactive to the beginning of the 2019-2020 school year.

k. Recommend approval of the appointment of Hope Stovall to the position of District Coordinator for Career Technical Education and Fine Arts.

l. Recommend approval of the appointment of Samantha Reda to the position of Division Coordinator of English, Social Studies and Reading at Bloom Trail High School.

m. Recommend approval of the Electronic ECE Credential Level 1 Student Manual Agreement for the 2020-21 School Year.

n. Recommend approval of the termination of the TRS deduction for Andrew Schmitt as required by TRS beginning with the 2020-2021 school year.

o. Recommend approval of the resolution allowing the district to utilize e-Learning days in lieu of emergency days.

p. Request for Use of Facilities

1) A request for lease approval with a waiver of rental fees from Debbie Williams, Sauk Village Trustee, for the use of the Bloom Trail High School east parking lot for free food box distribution each Saturday throughout September and October 2020.

VIII. Closed Session

a. Motion to convene to a closed session meeting for the purpose of discussing the following matters:

1) The appointment, employment, compensation, discipline, performance, or dismissal of specific employees of the public body or legal counsel for the public body, including hearing testimony on a complaint lodged against an employee of the public body or against legal counsel for the public body to determine its validity. [5ILCS 120/2(C)(1)]

2) Collective negotiating matters between the public body and its employees or their representatives, or deliberations concerning salary schedule for one or more classes of employees [5ILCS 120/2(C)(1)]

3) Discussion of minutes of meetings lawfully closed under this Act, whether for purposes of approval by the body of the minutes or semi-annual review of the minutes as mandated by Section 2.06. [5ILCS 120(C)(21)]

4) Discussion of litigation, when an action against, affecting or on behalf of the particular public body has been filed and is pending before a court or administrative tribunal, or when the public body finds that an action is probable or imminent, in which case the basis for the finding shall be recorded and entered into the minutes of the closed meeting, held in closed session pursuant to Section 2(c)(11) of the Open Meetings Act [5 ILCS 120/2(c)(11)]

a. Motion to approve minutes of the Closed Session meeting of July 20, 2020 and July 27, 2020.

b. Motion to approve employment/personnel actions tabled during Consent Agenda (if any).

c. Motion to end the closed session and return to open session.

X. Action Items

a. Recommend the approval of the request received from DLM to receive payment during semester one of the 2020-21 school year.
