This software will be utilized for documentation of a wide variety of incidents including but not limited to: Use of force documentation, coaching of officers, officer discipline, officer compliments and commendations both internal and external, employee reviews, and vehicle maintenance. The system is customizable to our needs and has an organizational structure built into it allowing employees to pull up any documentation both positive and negative that is created on them at any time. A supervisor can pull up documentation of positive or negative
incidents on himself and any subordinates assigned to his shift.
b) We have been working with Apex Mobile to build a Police Department mobile app. for the public. This project looks promising thus far. Some the features include a tips section, frequently asked questions, sex offender link, department directory, event calendar, officer commendation, open cases and a crime map. These sections can be changed out making the app highly customizable.
c) We have recently partnered with the Suburban Major Accident Reconstruction Team (SMART). This team is supported by many different municipalities in the south suburbs.
