Village of Tinley Park issued the following announcement on Oct. 22.
The Village is pleased to announce the winners of its first-ever Halloween House Decorating Contest, which asked residents to out-BOO their neighbors by seeing who could transform their home into the spookiest abode in Tinley Park!
Winners will receive a $100 gift card to the Tinley Park business of their choice. The best of the best included:
Best Overall Theme: 18300 Cottonwood Drive
Scariest House: 17374 S. 69th Avenue
Best Special Effects: 8907 Woodbine Court
The Village received a total of 58 entries from homeowners across Tinley Park during the submission phase, which ran from Sept. 25 to Oct. 16. Judging was held from Oct. 19 to 22. During that time, volunteer judges from the Tinley Park Marketing Commission visited houses and selected the top three from 14 semi-finalists.
