Tax

Village of Chicago Ridge issued the following announcement on Oct. 26.

Property owners can use cookcountytreasurer.com to see a 20-year history of their Cook County property taxes from 2001 to today, a new website feature that brings home the rising cost of government, Treasurer Maria Pappas said, according to a news release.

The Treasurer released “The Pappas Study,” an unprecedent examination of tax bills which shows that property taxes billed by all taxing districts in Cook County have nearly doubled over 20 years, from $7.85 billion in 2001 to $15.58 billion in 2020.

Please use your websites and social media to inform your constituents.
